You do not need a big rollout, a launch party or a consultant to run a loyalty program. You need a QR, a phone number field and one week of consistency. Here is the timeline I have watched a dozen salon owners follow, roughly in this order.

Morning of day one: pick the reward that hurts to give

The reward has to feel a little painful to hand out, or clients will not care about earning it. A free coffee is fine. A free basic haircut every ten visits is better. The rule of thumb: the reward should be roughly one visit's worth of service, unlocked at ten visits. That is one visit given free for ten paid, or a 10 percent effective discount on your best-earning clients. That is the price of loyalty. Anything less and the whole thing feels performative.

Lunch of day one: set the QR and the tagline

Sign up for fidel.club (or the tool of your choice - the pattern is what matters). Upload your logo, pick your brand colour, and download the printable A5 QR poster. That is your reception now.

Write one tagline for your kiosk. Not marketing copy. One human sentence. Bella Vista uses "Scan for rewards and birthday surprises". Andreea from Salon Amara uses "Fii al nostru, primești surprize". Both work because they are honest.

Afternoon of day one: laminate and place

Take the printed A5 to any print shop, ask for lamination. €2, five minutes. Now tape it near the till at eye level. Not on the mirror where hair blocks it. Not on the door where clients rush past. Near the till, next to where they pay.

Evening of day one: brief the team

Every stylist needs to know one line: "If you have not scanned yet, take five seconds - you get a free [reward] every ten visits." That is the whole training. If they cannot say it in seven seconds, they will not say it at all.

Day two: measure the friction and fix it

Watch three checkouts. If clients hesitate, the QR is too far from where they pay. If they scan but abandon on the phone number field, your poster does not explain the reward clearly. Fix the friction now, not in month three.

Day three onwards: one weekly ritual

Every Saturday morning, open the dashboard. Look at three numbers: visits this week vs last, new clients this week, top three dormant clients (45+ days silent). Draft one message to those dormant clients. Send. That is your loyalty program running.
